An opportunity for an Aircraft Performance Engineer has arisen within
Airbus Operations in Getafe (Madrid).

Brief description of the department's mission: The selected candidate will join the Aircraft Flight Dynamics and Performance domain (1GF). Our mission is to develop and integrate advanced aircraft models-including aerodynamics, propulsion, and systems-to produce dynamic and performance platforms that accurately predict aircraft behavior.

Our team is multidisciplinary and international, present throughout the full aircraft life-cycle. We ensure the best operational and safe use of the aircraft, helping customers extract maximum performance while staying in full compliance with regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES The main tasks and responsibilities of the jobholder will be:
* Establish aircraft overall performance within regulatory and operational frameworks during feasibility, design, development, and operational service phases.
* Develop and validate aircraft performance models, software, and data based on flight test results for both internal (Marketing, Design) and external users.
* Contribute to flight test campaigns, including strategy definition, preparation, and follow-up analysis.
* Perform trade-offs and performance analysis to support aircraft design and provide answers to 1GF partners (Programs, Marketing, Design specialists).
* Elaborate technical dossiers and presentations for Airworthiness Authorities to ensure vehicle certification.
* Lead compliance activities and potentially evolve into an Airworthiness role (Delegated Certification Specialist or Compliance Verification Engineer), defining certification strategies for new developments.

* Education: Degree-educated in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering or a related relevant field.
* Technical knowledge: Strong interest in pioneering technologies (AI, Data Analytics, MBSE) and good knowledge of Python for implementing engineering solutions into software.
* Experience: Previous experience in any of the following fields is a strong plus: Aerodynamics, Performance, On-board Systems, Handling Qualities, or Flight Test.
* Soft skills: Positive, motivated, and curious mindset. High collaborative spirit and ability to work in an empowered, multidisciplinary environment.
* Languages: Fluent level of English (essential for technical dossiers and international collaboration).
