This project will focus on the challenges and opportunities of High Voltage Electrical Systems, which are essential for next-generation, low-emission aircraft part of Airbus ambition to electrify the skies.

As part of a fast-paced, agile team, you will help create a unique, state-of-the-art test facility from the ground up. Your mission will be to explore novel HV technologies at their limits and beyond, generating invaluable data and learnings needed to build the robust and reliable aircraft of tomorrow by safely testing the unsafe.

The Electrical Integration & EMC Engineer position is within Airbus UpNext Spain and it consists of a short term contract linked to the deliverable of the demonstrator (estimated completion date April - 2028), starting ASAP, in Getafe.

Mission:
Reporting to the Technical Director and collaborating closely with the E2E Bench Manager, you will serve as the dedicated internal technical authority for the detailed electrical integration and harness design of our state-of-the-art laboratory test bench. Given the highly specialized High Voltage for Aeronautics (HV) environment of this facility, you will secure full technical baseline control over electrical wiring grounding, shielding, and electromagnetic containment.

Your Main Responsibilities:
* Detailed Bench Integration: Own the execution and detailed engineering definitions for the electrical integration of the ground power test facility.
* Grounding Topologies: Conceptualize and design specialized earthing and grounding network topologies tailored for high-power laboratories.
* Shielding & Blindage Management: Drive selection criteria and determine the proper termination methods for cable shielding to secure optimal electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
* Routing & Segregation: Define precise harness layouts and physical routing constraints to guarantee strict segregation between power and signal lines, successfully eliminating capacitive and inductive coupling risks.
* Environmental Chamber Interconnections: Specify specialized connectors and dielectric feedthroughs capable of maintaining 360° continuous shielding insulation and structural tightness under high-altitude low pressure and extreme thermal fluctuations inside the test cells.
* Manufacturing Oversight: Directly supervise the assembly, wiring manufacturing, and final mounting operations of the laboratory's test bench electrical installation

The responsibilities and the technical scope of the job might evolve according to the agile working environment of the project, so being flexible is important.

What you bring:
* Master Degree in Electrical Engineering. Extensive experience in Electrical Integration and Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS).
* Strong specialization in electrical harness routing, segregation techniques, and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC/EMI) protections.
* Direct experience handling high-power electrical testing equipment, heavy-gauge cabling setups, or specialized high-voltage for aeronautics infrastructure.
* Proven track record in specifying specialized connectors, hermetic feedthroughs, or shielding terminations for vacuum or high-altitude simulation chambers.
* Technical capability to steer external electrical suppliers and oversee factory/on-site assembly activities.
* Strong English communication skills. Spanish is a valuable asset.
* Autonomy, adaptation capacity, and eagerness to propose simplified, rapid engineering solutions in an agile environment.
