Your Role

The main mission of this position is to perform sensory evaluations and physicochemical analyses of raw materials and finished products, ensuring compliance with quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities

* Conduct sensory evaluations of raw materials and finished products, including assessment of appearance, odor, color, and taste. Materials may be powders or liquids, natural or synthetic, of botanical, animal, or other origins, and may contain all allergens except nuts, peanuts, lupin, and sesame.
* Perform physicochemical analyses such as salt content, water content, functionality testing, granulometry, infrared (IR) analysis, and other relevant assays.
* Carry out in-house allergen testing using rapid test kits.
* Prepare samples for external laboratory analyses (e.g., microbiological testing and contaminants) and manage the receipt, review, and documentation of analytical results.
* Prepare, incubate, and evaluate environmental monitoring samples, including surface samples.
* Perform water and wastewater analyses according to established procedures.
* Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, including equipment verification, calibration, and analytical method verification.
* Enter analytical data and manage documentation in SAP, ensuring accurate records and full traceability.
* Interpret analytical results and support quality-related decision-making.
* Make usage decisions for approval or rejection of raw material and finished product batches based on specifications and test results.
* Raise non-conformance reports for raw materials and finished products in collaboration with the Senior Instrument Analyst and follow up on corrective and preventive actions until closure.
* Ensure proper organization, storage, and archiving of laboratory samples.
* Perform internal calibration of laboratory equipment (e.g., thermometers).
* Create and manage purchase orders related to laboratory consumables and equipment.
* Support the investigation and resolution of customer complaints.
* Provide day-to-day operational support to the QC Laboratory Supervisor.
* Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the QC Supervisor or the GPM/QA/QC/Complaint Management Director.
About you

* You have a degree or vocational training in Chemistry, Food Science, Biotechnology, Laboratory Sciences, or a related field.
* You may have initial professional experience or internships in a quality control, laboratory, or analytical environment, ideally within food, ingredients, flavors, or a regulated industry.
* You have a genuine interest in laboratory work, sensory evaluation, and analytical testing, and you are motivated to develop your technical skills further.
* You are comfortable following standard operating procedures and working in accordance with quality, safety, and hygiene requirements.
* You show attention to detail and understand the importance of accurate data recording, documentation, and traceability.
* You are willing to work with different types of materials and products in a sensory and analytical context.
* You are organized, reliable, and able to manage routine tasks while meeting deadlines.
* You are a team player with good communication skills and are open to receiving guidance and feedback from more senior colleagues.
* You are comfortable working with IT systems (e.g. SAP or similar) and standard office tools, or ready to learn quickly.
* A proactive attitude, curiosity, and willingness to support different laboratory activities are key to your success in this role.
