The Role

The Data Center Infrastructure Operations Specialist supports Bloomberg's Network Engineering Operations Group, managing global colocation and Node Site infrastructure environments.
This role focuses on operational execution, infrastructure lifecycle management, capacity allocation, database accuracy, and incident response to ensure scalable, reliable, and efficient data center operations worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

* Support operations across 100+ global colocation data centers.
* Manage space, power, port, and cabling capacity (1700+ racks, 6MW+ power).
* Maintain accurate infrastructure records across multiple internal and external systems.
* Coordinate hardware installs, de-installs, circuit lifecycle activities, and infrastructure changes.
* Support planning and execution of infrastructure-related projects.
* Ensure site standards, maintenance activities, and operational processes are consistently followed.
* Troubleshoot site issues and coordinate vendors and internal / external smart hands teams.
* Execute incident response and corrective actions to maintain infrastructure reliability.
* Track utilization and support reporting for space, power, and port capacity.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Network Engineering, Communications, Field Service, and other technical teams during planning, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
You'll Need

* Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
* 4+ years of data center or infrastructure operations experience.
* Strong knowledge of rack infrastructure, structured cabling, and power systems (UPS, ATS, AC/DC).
* Experience with capacity management, circuit lifecycle coordination, and asset tracking.
* Familiarity with ticketing and incident management processes.
* Basic project management skills, including task tracking, timeline coordination, risk identification, and stakeholder communication

Nice to Have

* Experience in large-scale global colocation environments.
* Familiarity with Data Center Infrastructure Management tools
* ITIL or service management knowledge.
* Exposure to structured project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Agile, Prince2).
* Strong coordination skills in cross-functional technical environments.
* Working knowledge of DWDM systems.

Salary Range = 95,000 - 140,000 USD Annual + Benefits + Bonus

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
