Job Purpose
We are looking for an Underwriter - Group Life & Health to join our Team. The job holder will be responsible for the underwriting, pricing and ongoing monitoring of group insurance contracts, ensuring portfolio profitability and sustainability in line with Allianz underwriting standards and Combined Loss Ratio (CoR) targets.
The position supports renewal strategy formulation, evaluates risk exposure, and provides data-driven recommendations to Sales and Management, contributing to disciplined growth and long-term portfolio performance.
The role reports to the Team Leader - Group Life Sales & Underwriting.

What you will do
* Underwrite and price renewals of Group Life & Health contracts
* Analyze claims experience (Loss Ratio, frequency, severity, per person / per policy analysis)
* Monitor and assess Combined Loss Ratio (CoR) performance per account
* Provide pricing recommendations aligned with portfolio strategy and profitability targets
* Prepare quotations for new business and tenders (local & multinational clients)
* Contribute to renewal strategy proposals, including alternative solutions when required
* Ensure underwriting compliance with Allianz Group standards and internal governance framework
* Prepare statistical reports and support actuarial and financial reporting requirements
* Participate in the calculation of technical provisions and mathematical reserves
* Support broker and client negotiations through technical and data-driven input
* Collaborate cross-functionally (Claims, Actuarial, Finance, Sales) to ensure accurate risk evaluation
* Contribute to AGB pooling reporting and captive contract processes

What you bring
* Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Finance, Actuarial Science, Insurance or other related field
* Master's degree and/or relevant professional qualifications will be considered an asset
* 2-4 years of experience in underwriting, pricing or insurance analytics
* Strong analytical and financial acumen
* Ability to interpret claims trends, loss ratios and technical performance indicators
* Commercial awareness and profitability mindset
* Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
* Excellent command of Greek and English (written & spoken)
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines
* Problem-solving mindset and sound judgment
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
