Overview

This job is a Packaging R&D Lab advanced testing technician role. It is enabling IB packaging R&D innovation, brand stewartship productivity & sustainability commercial project execution. The role is 100% hands on testing i.e. global package test request work intake - submissions to reporting of quality data into LIMS system. Manages calibrations / equipment maintenance ordering materials and keeping on top of inventory. Managing Shipments and Deliveries of Samples to lab. GLP, EHS and retaining 5S high lab standards in conjunction with My Green Lab sustainable operations. There is also expectation for the position to take on small lab projects deliver EtE with use of project management skills to execute these.

Responsibilities

* Sample preparation and working to meet Packaging R&D Smart Lab Teams weekly schedule needs.
* Sample Testing - meeting turnaround times agreed.
* Enabling our IB R&D packaging commercial business project execution
* Ensure robust quality data.
* Familiar with the use of LIMs systems, 3Dx Dassault, DMP systems.
* Ensure Quality systems in Lab maintained, GLP.
* Adhere to EHS lab requirements and support the lab team & site to ensure this.
* Adhere to 5S in lab, maintain and enable this
* Take on lab projects manage EtE via PM or equivalent to ensure successful execution
* Manage and work with peers to ensure Calibrations and Maintenance schedules maintained
* Engage with PepsiCo site activities to enable one R&D & successful operating model
* Ability to think and operate in the grey space - well
* Being a broad thinker EtE is beneficial in this role
Qualifications

* Candidate should hold a degree in Packaging, Engineering Food Science or Equivalent
* 2 years + experience within a lab environment is preferable
* Familiar with LIMS laboratory information management systems & excel documents
