Description du poste:

Are you passionate about safety and ready to drive meaningful change at a global scale? Join our team as a Workplace, Health, and Safety (WHS) Program Manager and play a pivotal role in protecting the people who power Amazon's worldwide operations.

In this role, you'll serve as a trusted safety partner to senior regional and regional leaders, ensuring world-class safety standards for Information Technology (IT) team members across Amazon's global network. Through regular site visits, you'll stay closely connected to the daily realities of our frontline technicians - translating those insights into impactful regional and global safety programs.

You will own and drive safety programs from inception through implementation, lead rigorous incident investigations to uncover root causes, and develop corrective actions that prevent recurrence. You'll also design and execute safety campaigns that embed a culture of ownership and accountability across the business.

Collaborating cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, HR, and beyond, you'll scale successful safety initiatives and help cement Amazon's reputation as an industry safety leader.

Key job responsibilities
- Own and drive safety programs from inception through global implementation, delivering measurable risk reduction outcomes across Amazon's worldwide network
- Lead and manage safety-related projects end-to-end, defining clear actions, owners, and timelines to ensure successful delivery
- Author narrative papers and business reviews for senior leadership audiences, clearly communicating safety priorities, program performance, and investment recommendations
- Solve complex safety challenges faced by IT employees, including work at heights, hazardous energy, and battery safety, developing scalable solutions that reduce risk across the organization
- Serve as a trusted safety partner to regional leaders, aligning on strategic priorities and tracking progress against goals
- Conduct regular site visits to distribution centers, sortation facilities, and delivery stations to personally observe safety practices, gather frontline feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement
- Develop and update regional and global safety standards, protocols, and training materials informed by site visit insights, driving consistent, best-in-class safety performance
- Lead comprehensive incident investigations, rapidly identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence and share learnings globally
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams in Operations, Engineering, HR, and beyond to scale successful safety initiatives and embed sustainable improvements
- Monitor safety metrics, analyze trends, and present data-driven recommendations to senior leadership on priorities and investment areas

A day in the life
Your day might begin with check-in calls with regional leaders across Europe to discuss emerging issues and align on priorities. You'll then join a global project call to review a battery end-of-life management narrative with teammates worldwide. In the afternoon, you lead an incident investigation - reviewing footage, interviewing witnesses, and mapping root causes. You may also partner with field leaders on action plans, design safety features for new equipment, or close the day analyzing a global safety dashboard to prepare data-driven recommendations for senior leadership.
