Indirect Procurement Buyer (Entry Level) - Machines & Tools

Mission of the Role: This role is responsible for supporting the procurement of production equipment and indirect services within the automotive electronics industry, ensuring alignment with cost, quality, and delivery objectives across all Americas operations, including Chihuahua, Reynosa, and Manaus plants, as well as laboratories in Querétaro and the GLCC.

This role plays a key part in supplier management, cost optimization, and ensuring operational continuity, while strengthening procurement capabilities and contributing to the achievement of regional business objectives.

Key Objectives of this Role:

* Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of production equipment and indirect services.
* Support supplier selection, evaluation, and performance management.
* Contribute to cost analysis and continuous cost reduction initiatives.
* Maintain strong supplier relationships and effective communication channels.
* Ensure purchasing processes are executed in compliance with company procedures and best practices.
* Identify and escalate supply risks that may impact business operations.
* Support alignment between local procurement activities and regional strategies.

Key Year One Deliverables:

* Successfully manage and execute purchase orders and order schedules with minimal errors.
* Build a structured supplier database and actively track supplier performance (quality, cost, delivery).
* Deliver measurable cost-saving opportunities through basic negotiation and market analysis.
* Develop and implement tracking tools (reports, dashboards) for procurement KPIs.
* Establish strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders and suppliers.
* Demonstrate understanding and application of procurement processes, policies, and tools.
* Support at least one productivity or cost-reduction initiative with clear business impact.

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electronic, Mechatronic, Software Engineering or a related field.
* Basic knowledge of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain principles.
* At least 1 year of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing operations or a related field (internships or entry-level roles accepted).
* Exposure to manufacturing environments (automotive, electronics, or industrial sectors) is a plus.
* Experience interacting with suppliers or supporting sourcing activities is preferred.
