Your role:

Our Instruments division is the world leader in development and deployment of modern solutions with high technological value to our customers Opticians and Optometrists, in the cutting/mounting of correction lenses and in refraction and diagnosis of eye diseases.

Our mission is to provide vision professionals with equipment and services that are perfect responses to their business needs and help them build a strong and trusting relationship with their patients.

As part of our Instruments team in Norway, you will be field-based and will spend approximately 80-90% of your time visiting our ophthalmologist and hospital customers.

You may occasionally need to attend conferences, events, trade fairs and exhibitions. Depending on the size of area you cover, your job may involve overnight stays away from home.

Main responsibilities:

* Drive sales performance by promoting, demonstrating, and selling diagnostic and refraction equipment to hospitals and ophthalmologists, meeting agreed targets.

* Plan and conduct customer visits across Norway, including equipment demonstrations, installations, and follow-up support.

* Deliver customer training and technical assistance, ensuring effective use of equipment and long-term satisfaction.

* Represent the company at trade shows and industry events, presenting instruments and supporting marketing initiatives.

* Build strong relationships across the optical industry and identify new business opportunities.

* Support internal teams by sharing product expertise and contributing to the development of the Instruments team's knowledge.

* Monitor market trends and competitor activity, maintaining up-to-date product and industry knowledge.

* Provide regular reports and insights to the Instrument Manager.

* Follow all Health & Safety guidelines, including PPE requirements, and ensure the safety of visitors, contractors, and partners on site.

Main requirements:

* Ideally qualified Optometrist with a BSc or Diploma in Optometry and hands-on clinical experience with an understanding of the optics and ophthalmology market, including hospital or clinical environments.

* Alternatively, previous experience in the medical devices industry, familiarity with diagnostic equipment and technical expertise.

* Confident communicator, both written and verbal, able to build strong working relationships.

* Adaptable, quick to learn, and comfortable working closely with colleagues and customers.

* Organised and self-managing, with the ability to plan and prioritise workload effectively.

* Emotionally intelligent, demonstrating diplomacy, patience, and initiative in day-to-day interactions.

* Computer literate and comfortable using digital tools such as CRM systems.

* Full driving licence.

* Fluent Norwegian and English.
