About the Job
Middle Office leads external and internal compliance and IFRS9 standard in Danone, provides centralized Mark-to-Market visibility for direct materials and indirect spend (Milk, Plant based, ingredients, packaging, energy, logistics) for all zones.
We are seeking a professional Middle Office Lead who is experienced in commodity hedging with a proven track record in multinational companies and is looking for their next challenge. The successful candidate will be an effective communicator, diligent and detail-oriented, self-starting with exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Define and lead methodology of Mark-to-Market calculation for all zones and categories.
* Redaction and follow-up IFRS9 memos documentation and preparation for internal and external audits including effectiveness test for financial hedging scope. Ensure that hedge transactions comply with Executive Mandate.
* Control of forecasted demand vs actual, forecasted covers vs actual. Volatility risk allocation, COGS at Risk, coverage control. Monitor position limits in cooperation with Global Treasury
* Control of volumes exposure management, animation of data collection: quarterly volume actual and forecast x suppliers x Danone site. Conversion of physical volumes into financial exposure.
* Participate in contract validation cycle, oversee financial impacts for C&P organization (IFRS9, right indexation, pricing formulas, settlement mechanism, alignment with Danone global risk strategy), support category buyers with hedging strategy's aspects.
* Lead monthly actual closing and quarterly forecasting processes of MTM and coverage position in collaboration with Risks managers, Business controllers, zones controllers and C&P leaders.
* Lead the MTM expansion project to leverage governance and visibility for non-hedgeable spend.
* Lead digital transformation of exposure management and MTM report through processes optimization and automation in PowerBI with Copilot agent usage.
* Provide training (ongoing training on compliance and MTM for procurement and finance stakeholders)
* Managing a team of 1 employee.

* Solid knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements, as well as familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks, such as International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), especially IFRS9 implications and derivatives regulations.
* Be open-minded, reliable, proactive and team-oriented person with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Experience in process improvement and simplification
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to support and collaborate with key internal (Category buyers, Market analysts and risk managers, Controlling, Treasury) and external stakeholders (financial counterparts).
* Solid experience, with proven experience in middle-office functions, preferably in a large corporate organization involved in purchasing contract hedging.
* Knowledge of BI tools to build dashboards for data analysis and reporting.
* A Master degree in Finance or related field.
* Ability to fluently communicate in English
