Job Responsibilities

SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT / PROJECT MANGEMENT

* Working with internal/external stakeholders to identify requirements and priorities

* Establishing and driving product release plans that satisfy requirements and priorities, with high implementation quality

* Assessing the costs, risks, and dependencies for each project

* Providing ongoing communication of the release plan to the relevant stakeholders

* Fostering effective communications with team members for status updates and issue reporting

* Identifying, anticipating and tackling technical issues

* Considering trade-offs and risk mitigation options

* Identifying and removing blockers to ensure delivery of project

* Working with key stakeholders to make project plan course corrections

TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP

* Maintain a high level of technical expertise to work effectively with team members

* Keep abreast of technology industry trends, solutions, standards and methodologies

* Identify and drive process improvements

TEAM MANAGEMENT

* Recruiting well-qualified professionals

* Fostering a culture of continuous improvement

* Providing ongoing feedback, coaching and mentorship

Qualifications

Preferred

* Extensive experience in software design, development, and/or consulting in cloud systems or web services, with a strong background in leading software development teams.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to lead technical discussions and present complex ideas to diverse audiences

* Good understanding of business drivers and ability to articulate them clearly

Bonus

* Demonstrated success in hiring and onboarding engineering talent.

* Proven ability to mentor and develop technical talent within the organization.

* Interpersonal skills, with the ability to set goals, provide feedback, and foster a positive team culture.

* Strong fundamentals in all or any of the following: TypeScript (Node.js and React) and Java (Spring boot).

* Hands-on Experience with AWS or other cloud providers

* API development experience (REST, GraphQL, gRPC)

* Experience with CI/CD concepts and working with a deployment pipeline such as Jenkins
