At AXA Partners, we are looking for an experienced and visionary Regional Chief Medical Officer (RCMO) to lead medical strategy, quality, and performance across a dynamic international region. This senior leadership role sits at the intersection of clinical excellence, international operations, and strategic leadership, ensuring high-quality, ethical, and cost-effective medical services with a strong patient-centered focus. What you'll be doing: As Regional Chief Medical Officer, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering medical excellence across the region: Ensure the seamless delivery of 24/7/365 medical assistance services to customers worldwide Lead and coordinate medical activities across multiple countries, working closely with Local Chief Medical Officers (LCMOs) Develop and implement the regional medical strategy in alignment with global medical objectives Oversee the regional implementation of medical policies, protocols, and standards, particularly for travel and international medical assistance Act as a trusted medical advisor to senior management, providing expert guidance on complex and sensitive clinical cases Drive clinical quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and ethical standards across all medical operations Support LCMOs in managing medical staff, including recruitment, credentialing, performance management, and professional development Strengthen relationships with international medical partners, providers, and networks to ensure consistent, high-quality, and cost-effective care Lead medical response during emergencies and crisis situations, ensuring continuity of care Contribute to operational excellence, medical cost containment, and continuous improvement initiatives Represent the medical function in client meetings, commercial initiatives, tenders, and presentations Track and analyze regional medical KPIs, identify performance gaps, and implement corrective actions Foster a culture of learning, accountability, collaboration, and high performance within medical teams This role offers significant international exposure, working across diverse countries, cultures, and healthcare systems. What you'll bring: You are a senior medical leader with strong international experience and a passion for quality and governance: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution Valid medical license within the relevant jurisdiction/region Minimum 10 years of post-specialty clinical experience as a practicing physician Specialization in Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, Anesthesiology, or Internal Medicine, with strong critical care exposure Proven expertise in critical care, emergency medicine, medical transport, and international medical assistance Strong knowledge of medical standards, regulatory requirements, compliance frameworks, and best practices Demonstrated experience in medical staff leadership, including recruitment, credentialing, training, and performance management Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills in multicultural environments Strategic mindset with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, international environment Fluency in English (spoken and written); additional regional languages are an advantage Experience in emergency response and crisis management is a plus Familiarity with global healthcare systems and international assistance models is an advantage What we offer: At AXA Partners, we're appreciative of the people who work for us and our rewards package is reviewed regularly to reflect that.
