Position Overview

DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank's technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank's technology transformation.
We have a robust, hands-on engineering culture dedicated to continuous learning, knowledge-sharing, technical skill development and networking. We are an essential part of the Bank's technology platform and develop applications for many important business areas.
The Project Lead will oversee end-to-end delivery across multiple initiatives within the Investment Solutions domain of the Private Bank. The area covers Capital Markets, Advisory, and DPM projects, requiring strong coordination across business, technology, and senior management stakeholders.
The role is both delivery-focused and organizational, involving financial and FTE planning, budget oversight, milestone management, and operational structuring.
A successful candidate will bring excellent communication and presentation skills, business understanding of the investment/markets domain, and the ability to drive outcomes across a diverse project portfolio.

Responsibilities:
1. Program & Delivery Oversight
* Lead and coordinate delivery across multiple parallel projects in Capital Markets, Advisory, and DPM.
* Establish and maintain delivery plans, project roadmaps, and milestone tracking.
* Identify risks, dependencies, and blockers; drive mitigation plans and ensure alignment with overall strategic objectives.
* Ensure consistent execution across workstreams and teams (Tech, Ops, Business).
2. Financial, FTE & Operational Management
* Manage project-level and portfolio-level FTE planning, tracking, and forecasting.
* Own budget allocation, spending, and monitoring across the project suite.
* Track financial KPIs, produce reporting packs, and ensure adherence to planning cycles.
* Work closely with controlling, finance partners, and chapter leads regarding budget accuracy and resource usage.
3. Stakeholder & Senior Management Engagement
* Serve as the central communication point for project status, escalations, and decision making.
* Interface directly with senior stakeholders across Business, Technology, and Operations.
* Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations for Steering Committees, OpCo , and governance bodies.
* Ensure transparency, clarity, and structure in all stakeholder interactions.
4. Business Domain Expertise & Analysis
* Demonstrate strong knowledge of Investment Solutions (Capital Markets flows, advisory processes, portfolio management concepts).
* Rapidly ramp-up on missing knowledge areas as required.
* Translate business needs into delivery requirements and ensure alignment with technology teams.
5. Planning, Structuring & Reporting
* Maintain structured, well-organized reporting practices.
* Work with quantitative information (budgets, resource plans, forecasts, KPIs).
* Define and maintain governance artifacts (RAIDs, plans, roadmaps, status reports).
6. Standard Project / Delivery Management Responsibilities
* Drive Agile or hybrid delivery ceremonies (where applicable).
* Manage vendors and external partners when relevant.
* Ensure compliance with internal processes, regulatory expectations, and audit standards.
* Support change management, communication planning, and rollout activities.

Skills:
* Solid understanding of Investment Solutions business (Capital Markets, Advisory, DPM).
* Strong numerical skills: forecasting, budgeting, KPI analysis.
* Ability to translate business requirements into delivery tasks and structured plans.
* Familiarity with Agile delivery models, software development lifecycles, and banking/financial platforms.
Leadership & Delivery Skills
* Proven experience leading complex, multi-project portfolios.
* Strong organizational skills - able to manage multiple threads with structure and clarity.
* Excellent risk management and issue resolution capability.
* Ability to influence without direct authority across cross-functional teams.
Communication & Presentation Skills
* Executive-level presentation skills (PowerPoint and narrative building).
* Ability to communicate complex topics clearly to senior business leaders.
* Confidence in representing the project suite in Steering and OpCo meetings.

Nice to Have
* Prior experience in Private Banking or Wealth Management environments.
* Exposure to regulatory or transformation programs in financial services.
* Experience with cross-market (EU/Global) delivery organizations.
* Technical affinity or background helpful but not mandatory (APIs, data flows, trading platforms).
* Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, or Agile certifications.
