Our Siemens business unit Motion Control (DI MC) is one of the world's leading providers of products, systems, solutions, and services in the field of Motion Control. At our factory network Siemens AG develops and manufactures electric motors for the global market. Our target customers are in the field of automation technology, in the automotive industry and in the field of intra-logistics.
We are planning to expand our Oradea plant into an even larger, modern, and more powerful Siemens Mechatronic Competence Center! This isn't just an expansion; it is a true transformation. As part of this strategic business development, we will be building a brand-new, state-of-the-art manufacturing area in Oradea. This new space will integrate critical parts of our production and associated support functions, creating a unified, high-performance hub for mechatronic expertise within Siemens.
Oradea will become one of Siemens' key competence centers, with new colleagues joining us, new technologies being implemented, and new capabilities strengthening our overall footprint.
Based in Oradea, we are looking for a Material Planner to join our Logistic Management team.
This will be your impact:
· Purchase raw material and finished parts & maintain material plan at the time fence to ensure continuity of supply at highest level at optimal costs & inventory levels.
· Maintain proactive shortage identification and inventory management - flag root causes & take corrective actions. Expedite deliveries to meet and exceed scheduled critical requirements or postpone deliveries where required to optimize inventory levels. Interface with required functional groups to resolve challenging delivery requirements.
· Work closely with suppliers: Monitor their ability to meet delivery dates, reschedule purchase orders and resolve any supply issues with the supplier. Provide forecasts and other relevant information required by suppliers to support company's requirements. Monitor past due orders and work with suppliers, receiving and accounting to resolve issues. Coordinate with Quality Assurance to resolve quality issues with suppliers.
· Monitor KPI, analyze actual demand, trends, and forecasts, and adjust inventory plans for your parts. Identify forecast and demand plan issues and work closely with the Master Schedulers and Demand Planners to resolve. Analyze relevant KPIs & take corrective action if needed.
· Inventory optimization & planning analysis: Monitor and adjust planning parameters to minimize inventory while providing high levels of service given lead time and reliability of supplier. Investigate causes of slow-moving inventory, implement preventative action, and dispose of obsolete inventory in a cost-effective manner.
· Ensure optimal parameter settings for your parts when issuing orders, including correct pricing, optimal safety stock settings, replenishment parameters, lot size, returnable packaging etc. to obtain optimum price breaks & minimal set up costs while maintaining acceptable inventory levels.
· Drive process improvement projects at your supplier base, e.g. technical change, phase in/phase-out, KPI performance optimization or on department level regarding digitalization (AI, RPA) or improvement of operative purchasing process, always with a view on the
This is how you'll win us over:
· Bachelor or Master's degree preferably in business administration, industrial engineering or logistics.
· Minimum of 3-5 additional years of professional experience in Materials Planning and Execution.
· Very good proficiency English and Romanian (spoken & written) is an absolute must to this role since you work in an international environment. Proficiency of German is a big benefit.
· A very good understanding of SAP R/3 or SAP S4 (MM module) and openness to AI-driven or RPA-optimized planning tools
· Good MS Office experience, including excellent spreadsheet skills.
· Proven analytical and organizational ability.
· Highly analytical with persuasive abilities.
· Able to work autonomously and be a proactive problem solver with effective problem identification and solution skills, including ability to lead smaller process improvement projects.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Personally, you are a great in teamwork and putting things into practice.
· 1-2 business trips per year to Germany are not a problem for you.
