The Opportunity

The successful candidate needs to be able to deliver on setting up processes and best practices with minimal supervision. They will be the lead and main point of contact for anything payroll related. The Payroll Specialist processes payroll accurately and timely, ensures compliance with applicable laws and company policies, and maintains payroll records. This role supports employees and the HR team, resolves payroll inquiries, and assists with financial reporting and audits.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities​

* The successful candidate needs to be able to deliver on setting up processes and best practices with minimal supervision.

* They will be the lead and main point of contact for anything payroll related.

* The Payroll Specialist processes payroll accurately and timely, ensures compliance with applicable laws and company policies, and maintains payroll records.

* This role supports employees and the HR team, resolves payroll inquiries, and assists with financial reporting and audits.

Who Are We Looking For

* Strong payroll experience with a minimum of three years

* Working knowledge of Romanian labor legislation, tax laws, and social security contributions

* Solid functional knowledge of payroll processing and best practices

* Excellent attention to detail and highly numerate, with strong ownership and problem-solving competencies

* Capable of working independently whilst using own initiative, as well as a member of the team and in partnership with external vendors

* Strong prioritization

* Customer orientation mindset

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion

* Fluency in Romanian and English is mandatory

* Strong verbal and written communication skills
