Howden - Corporate & Commercial are on the hunt for a Construction Quality Assessor to join the team in Maidstone. You will be responsible for the review and quality assessment of construction projects through surveyor reporting. Assessors issue final approval on completed builds for coverage by structural warranty. They are also responsible for providing technical advice to clients and warranty surveyors.

Join us and be part of a team dedicated to providing outstanding service to our clients. We promote personal and professional growth. This is a full-time, permanent positing working 3 days per week in our Maidstone office for a balanced work experience.

Overview:
* Monitoring surveyor output
* Reviewing and auditing surveys and reports
* Carry out desk-top audit and review of projects pre and mid construction
* Create internal and external reports for Underwriters/Insurers/Re-Insurers.
* Guide and train external surveyors on warranty requirements.
* Produce audit outcome documentation and distribute across various internal and external stakeholders
* Translate construction defects and issues into insurance risk

Knowledge:
* Construction knowledge and experience is required.
* A good understanding of the Building Regulations is required.
* An understanding of latent defect insurance / structural warranties is advantageous.
Skills:
* Interpersonal skills; having the ability to build client and stakeholder relationships with a foundation of trust and responsibility.
* Communicate technical details and concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Work cohesively with cross functional internal teams.
* Analytical skills; the ability to think critically and solve problems.
* Ability to prioritise workload and maintain standards under pressure.
* Attention to detail and strong time-management skills.
* Commitment to self-development and learning.
* Good Microsoft Office and general IT skills.

Qualifications:
* GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
* CABE (desirable)
* CIOB (desirable)
