Apple is looking for a Business Development Manager to help manage and drive payment services available to customers in the UK for Apple's digital payments and commerce platforms, as well as to help define and enable new functionalities for Wallet Services, such as Access, Ticketing, Loyalty, Memberships, across multiple markets in Europe. As our ideal candidate, you enjoy a high-change environment that is focused on building the next generation of Apple's payments and Wallet experiences. As a member of the Wallet, Payments and Commerce Team, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive the sales and marketing programs for the Apple Gift Card and Direct Carrier Billing in the UK, and you will work with external partners and eco-system players to roll-out new Apple Wallet Services into new territories. The ability to manage multiple parties and projects from initiation to completion while providing consistent updates and communication to business leaders will be critical for success in this role. The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge of the retail and eCommerce environment, experience in contract negotiation, projects and programs management, product and market development, capable of supporting successful launches and initiatives. You will be able to Identify new regional partners, negotiate business terms and be the "go to" person for the projects and relationships. Creativity, persistence and the ability to manage multiple parties and projects from initiation to completion while providing consistent updates and communication to business leaders will be crucial to the success in this role.
- Be the local "go to" person for the Apple Gift Card, Carrier Billing and Wallet products - Establish, develop and grow strong business relationships with Retail and eCommerce partners, Carriers and a diverse portfolio of ecosystem providers to drive products adoption - Develop strategy and tactics to drive substantive and measurable change in adoption rate, usage, penetration, and manage sales forecasts, merchandising, marketing budgets and track performance of programs - Drive implementation of payment and Wallet solutions ensuring all product requirements are completed to Apple standards - Manage multiple parties and projects from initiation to completion while providing consistent updates and communication to business leader
Business development experience in driving new payment methods and services, preferably within a payments organisation or merchant Business development and relationship management experience at multinational or leading companies in the Retail, payment services or Wallet industry Experience in structuring and negotiating business and technical terms to close deals with strategic partners Experience in managing complex partner relationships Strong communication, interpersonal, teamwork/collaboration, and organisational skills
Flexibility to handle directional changes and balance moving priorities and a portfolio of initiatives to ensure project success and drive impact Ability to contribute consistently and positively in a high-paced, constantly evolving and sometimes unpredictable work environment Self-starter and results oriented; demonstrated results building lasting relationships Degree education in relevant field desirable but candidates from all education backgrounds are encouraged to apply
