Shop/Cafe Assistant
Richmond Village Letcombe Regis, South Street, Oxfordshire, OX12 9RG
£12.90 per hour
Permanent 40 hrs per week
Shift patterns start 8.30 am - 4.30 pm,
Shift working 5 days out of 7 days with alternate weekends

About the Role
We are looking for a friendly and motivated Shop/Café Assistant with previous retail experience to join our team. You will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service, ensuring smooth daily operations, and creating a welcoming environment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements
* Greet and serve customers in a polite and professional manner
* Prepare and serve hot & cold drinks, food, and snacks
* Operate the till and handle cash/card transactions accurately
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across the café/shop
* Replenish stock and ensure displays are tidy and attractive
* Assist with opening and closing procedures
* Handle customer queries and resolve issues efficiently
* Work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
* Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or a similar customer-facing role
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work under pressure and multitask
* Basic cash handling and till experience
* Good understanding of food hygiene (training can be provided)
* Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours
