The role of the Quality Management Lead (QML) is to ensure HPC Project quality requirements are complied with across the full project life-cycle (Contract award, Design, Procurement, Manufacture, Test, Shipping, Construction/Installation, Test/Commission and Contract close out).
The primary purpose of the QML role is to ensure supply-chain adherence to the contracted quality assurance and quality control requirements. QMLs sit within the Quality Department and are deployed to Areas/Programmes to serve this primary purpose. Day to day reporting is to the Quality Delivery Manager (QDM) who sets out their Area/Programme quality requirements in conjunction with the QML and Project Team. Administrative reporting for the QMLs is to the Quality Delivery Manager (QDM), who ensures that QMLs perform adequately and implement the right processes to deliver to programme quality requirements. This includes development and implementation of Project Quality Control Plans (PQCP). To keep these duties to a manageable level, the Quality Delivery Manager will be supported by a number of Team Leaders.
Their secondary purpose is to support the Head of Quality Delivery, the QDM and their Area/Programme in achieving adherence with the Integrated Management System arrangements, putting in place additional project-specific arrangements as required and managing quality for all activities within the scope of the Area/Programme.
You'll be responsible for:
* Supporting quality assurance and quality control delivery across the project lifecycle.
* Implementing quality governance, surveillance and non-conformance processes.
* Reviewing and overseeing contractor quality assurance plans.
* Producing and maintaining project quality control plans.
* Ensuring contractual quality requirements are embedded and complied with.
* Guiding suppliers on quality planning and records management.
* Directing lifetime quality records reviews and acceptance.
* Coordinating supplier audits and drive timely resolution of findings.
* Managing manufacturing surveillance and inspection activities.
* Reviewing inspection and test plans for quality compliance.
* Supporting quality release, documentation and project handover.
* Building trusted stakeholder relationships and promote continuous improvement.
You'll need to have:
* Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in engineering or science.
* Experience delivering quality assurance and control in complex projects.
* Strong understanding of quality management best practice.
* Proven stakeholder engagement and supplier management capability.
* Skilled in reporting, analysis and continuous improvement.
* Influential communicator with strong relationship-building skills.
* Leadership experience within nuclear or safety-critical environments.
* Knowledge of nuclear standards, regulations and inspection practices desirable.
