Product Design Lead

What You Will Do

We're looking for an experienced Design Lead to enhance the user experience across Klarna's consumer-facing products. The positions will be critical to shaping products used by millions every day.
You will:
* Drive end-to-end product design, from early discovery and concepting to prototyping and polished interfaces.
* Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other designers to develop innovative solutions that meet user needs and business goals.
* Conduct research and apply user insights to inform design decisions.
* Build advanced prototypes to explore, validate, and communicate design ideas.
* Elevate design quality across your product team, providing clarity on design direction and opportunities.
* Contribute to the evolution of Klarna's design systems and best practices.

Who You Are

* Extensive experience leading product design in cross-functional teams.
* High proficiency in Figma, with experience using Figma Make.
* Strong ability to communicate design decisions clearly to a wide range of stakeholders.
* Skilled in building prototypes to test hypotheses and illustrate design concepts.
* Demonstrated ability to simplify complex problems and influence product strategy through design.

Awesome to Have

* Experience using Cursor or other AI-enhanced design/development tools.
* Background working in fast-paced environments or at high-growth tech companies.
* Familiarity with design systems and scaling design across multiple products or platforms.
* Interest in contributing to team culture, mentorship, and design critiques.
