Job Title: SMB Tech Intern
Location: Woodmead, Johannesburg
Program Duration: This internship is a 12-month program starting 1 April 2026.
Eligibility: This internship is open to graduates who have not previously participated in an internship or held a permanent role for over 12 months.
In line with our obligations under the Employment Equity Act 1998, preference will be given to candidates from designated groups

Purpose of the Role
The SMB Tech Intern will support the OD Sales Team Cluster in generating demand and driving business development initiatives. This role aims to enhance brand visibility, build and maintain relationships with potential and current customers, and gain insights into customer needs and priorities. The intern will conduct research on customer financials to support account planning, assist in driving activities and pipeline development for the team's territory, and ensure effective collaboration among team members and partners.
What you will do
* Assist the OD Sales Team Cluster with demand generation initiatives.
* Support business development and sales-driven initiatives.
* Create and enhance brand visibility in the market.
* Build and maintain relationships with potential customers and current clients.
* Understand customer visions, priorities, and requirements.
* Research customer financials and insights to support account plans.
* Drive actions and develop activities to enhance the sales pipeline for the territory.
* Support the manager in maintaining team cadence and activity tracking.
* Update dashboards and track team activities effectively.
* Arrange and attend customer meetings with OD Sales Representatives (SRs) and document meeting minutes.
* Foster collaboration between partners and OD SRs to achieve sales goals.

Qualifications
* Minimum Qualification: BCom in Marketing and Business Management

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Advanced presentation skills to effectively convey ideas and insights.
* Self-motivated and driven to achieve results.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of an extended sales team.
* Process-oriented with strong organizational skills.
* Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at various job levels, including C-suite executives.
* Ability to initiate contact with stakeholders via telephone.
