WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

The Compliance Assurance Function is responsible for monitoring and reviewing the processes and controls established at Trade Republic which ensure compliance with banking regulations. This includes the oversight of complaints management and oversight of all communication with the German Banking Regulator BaFin regarding Complaints.
* Conduct independent reviews of processes and controls regarding investments (WpHG), anti-money laundering (GWG) and complaints
* Collaborate with internal teams in obtaining relevant information regarding processes and controls
* Research our internal systems to gather relevant evidence for samples checks
* Apply SQL queries in Snowflake to gather data

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

* Enrolled or completed a university degree (study focus in the field of economics, business studies, law, computer science, mathematics, physics, humanities or other relevant fields)
* Highly motivated to learn about regulatory requirements / Compliance in the financial industry
* Initial experience in financial services or advisory would be an advantage
* Interest in banking, finance, capital markets, and their regulatory frameworks
* Independent working attitude with adherence to deadlines
* Effective communication skills, dedication and strong organisational abilities
* Proactive with an open-minded attitude, unafraid of new challenges
