Internship - Simulation of Driver Assistance Functions (all genders welcome)

Arbeitsumfeld

In the System Validation for Assisted Driving Vehicle Systems unit, you contribute to the validation of state-of-the-art driver assistance functions for the next vehicle generations. The department is part of the development organization for automated and assisted driving functions and supports the entire process from early concept phases to series maturity.

A key focus is the use of simulation technologies to evaluate and validate driver assistance functions within the overall vehicle electronics architecture at an early stage. You will work in an environment where vehicle technology, sensor systems, software development and data analytics come together. Collaboration with function development, sensor integration teams, testing organizations and simulation experts is an integral part of your daily work.

Aufgaben

* You develop a pipeline to extract relevant scenarios from real-world driving data and transfer them into the simulation environment
* You contribute to the further development and optimization of existing approaches for scenario detection
* You analyze scenarios from real test drives and derive insights for function validation
* You support the generation of simulation-based scenarios and help shape new scenario types
* You plan, accompany and evaluate simulation runs in collaboration with various development teams

Qualifikation

* You are enrolled in a degree program in computer science, mathematics, automotive engineering or a comparable technical field
* You have good German and English language skills in spoken and written form
* You possess solid programming skills in Python
* You have initial exposure to sensor, environment or function models in the field of driver assistance systems
* You have first experience with AI-based methods or techniques for scenario detection

The final internship period will be agreed upon during the interview with the department.
