In Group Research & Development (RD), we are shaping the automotive generations of the future. By this we mean innovative products of the highest quality and efficient development processes. We are already working today on vehicles that will secure Mercedes-Benz's technological leadership in the future.
The RD/EBG department is responsible for the entire development chain from the investigation of new technologies to the series introduction of traction batteries at Mercedes-Benz AG.
New concepts for the physical design of future energy storage systems are developed and investigated in the System Design & Technology Development team of the Advanced Engineering department at the Untertürkheim site. We also investigate new technologies in the field of HV batteries and evaluate them with regard to their use in future development projects.

As an intern in the Project Management department, you will work on the latest prototype setups. In particular, we are looking for support in the following areas
* Preparation and follow-up of project rounds (in German and English)
* Management of project schedules (comparison of internal/external suppliers)
* Creating budget plans together with the specialist departments
* Test planning incl. provision of parts and test definitions
* Evaluation of measurement data from tests
* Organizing transports between locations
* Creating documentation and inquiry documents (incl. CAD images)
* Carry out simple procurements (obtain quotations + place orders)
* Creating and concluding non-disclosure agreements

Qualifikationen

* Ongoing Master's degree in engineering or natural sciences (e.g. electrical engineering, physics, mechatronics, mechanical engineering or similar)
* Initial experience in projects
* High degree of initiative as well as communication and moderation skills
* Ability to work independently and analytically
* Previous knowledge in the field of automotive battery systems and cell physics of Li-ion cells is an advantage
* Knowledge of CAD and Matlab recommended
* Very good knowledge of German
* Good knowledge of English
