The External Affairs (EA) division of Mercedes-Benz Group AG strives for sustainable growth by building and maintaining good relationships with governments and stakeholders in our key markets. EA bundles the global external representation of the company and supports all divisions in the development of growth initiatives through lobbying with governments and stakeholders.

As a global company, we are facing up to the political challenges of our time. Representing the company's interests in political decision-making processes is crucial to achieving our goals.

Our division provides strategic and political information for management to promote a positive political and socio-economic climate in the countries in which we operate. External Affairs - Political Operations provides political support for business in the global markets of Mercedes-Benz AG, determines positions and identifies opportunities.

You will face these challenges:
* Monitoring and evaluating current global economic and security policy developments

* Analyzing and evaluating reputational risks for the planned implementation of operational sales business and marketing activities worldwide

* Contributing to the preparation of political briefings for Mercedes top management on international reputation issues

* Support in responding to inquiries from political institutions and civil society organizations

* Preparation of the daily Global Sales & Reputation Management newsletter

* Organizational and content-related support for the team on sustainability topics Researching information on sustainability topics and analyzing trends, creating presentations, contributing to briefings and position papers as well as supporting the stakeholder dialog

* Creating content for the company's own social intranet

* Independent support and coordination of special tasks/sub-projects and individual projects

Qualifikationen

* Degree in political science, international relations, social sciences

* Proficient in written and spoken German and English

* Confident handling of MS Office

* Enthusiasm and competence with regard to topic-related internet and social media research

* Commitment and ability to work in a team, strong communication skills, enjoy organizational, reliable work, intercultural competence

* Interest in the automotive industry and sustainability issues

* Interest in current national and international economic and political issues
