In the Mercedes-Benz development process, thermal management is understood to mean the energetic optimization of the heat balance in the overall vehicle HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle), PHEV (Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle) and BEV
(Battery Electric Vehicle) with the aim of reducing consumption and emissions, ensuring engine cooling and component temperatures at every operating point and optimizing interior comfort.

The aim is therefore to optimize heat flows (heat supply and heat dissipation in the engine, gearboxes, high-voltage components or in the passenger compartment) in order to reduce energy consumption, ensure thermal safety and increase interior comfort

These are some of the challenges you will face:
* Tool creation and adaptation for the evaluation / plausibility check of large amounts of data
* Planning, conducting and evaluating tests
* Carrying out and evaluating complete vehicle thermal simulations
* Support in day-to-day operations

Qualifikationen

* Degree in mechanical engineering / automotive engineering, aerospace engineering or a comparable course of study
* Confident handling of MS Office
* Ideally knowledge of Python
* Confident written and spoken German and English skills
* Commitment and ability to work in a team
* Analytical mindset and strategic way of working
