THE INNOVATION & ANALYTICS CO OP / INTERN OPPOURTUNITY
Turner Construction's Vancouver office is currently seeking students, recent graduates, or individuals interested in a 4- or 8- month Innovation & Analytics Co-Op/Internship opportunity for the upcoming Summer 2026 semester. This is a full-time position (Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week) based at our Vancouver office, with occasional on-site work at active construction projects, depending on the assignment.
The Innovation & Analytics Co-op/Intern will work with the Procurement team, focusing on translating conceptual ideas into practical outputs with structured feedback and oversight. The role includes data analysis, dashboard development, and the use of applied AI tools. As an Innovation & Analytics Co-op/Intern, you will:
* Translate high-level concepts into actionable plans and deliverables
* Conduct data analysis to support decision-making and operational insights
* Design and maintain dashboards using Power BI
* Utilize AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to improve workflows, documentation, and analysis
* Iterate on solutions based on feedback and stakeholder input
* Identify process improvements and opportunities for automation
* Prepare clear summaries, reports, and visualizations
* Deliver functional dashboards and analytical outputs
* Advance ideas independently from concept to implemented solutions
* Contribute to improved workflows through data and digital tools
* Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned
Is this the right role for you:
* Enrolled in a relevant program (e.g., Data Analytics, Business, Engineering, Computer Science)
* Working knowledge of data analysis techniques and tools (Excel, SQL, or similar)
* Experience or familiarity with Power BI or other visualization tools
* Exposure to AI tools such as ChatGPT or similar platforms
* Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
* Self-starter with the ability to work independently
* Comfortable taking initiative with minimal direction
* Able to move projects from concept to completion
* Receptive to feedback and able to iterate quickly
* Organized with strong attention to detail
* Experience with process automation or scripting (Python, Power Automate, etc.) is preferred
* Prior internship or project experience involving dashboards or analytics is preferred
