Position Description:
This position is for a software developer/AI automation Analyst to work as a member of the Delivery/Operations team in the Toronto Financial Services business unit (Insurance Sector).

Your future duties and responsibilities:
Working closely with the Operations team, the incumbent will:
* Review manual processes within the Delivery/Operations team and replace with automation to make our processes more efficient/effective.
* Assist in identifying AI/ML use cases within our organization (e.g., predictive analytics, intelligent automation, natural language processing).
* Work with various groups (operations, new product development, test automation) to define requirements for automation opportunities.
* Use strong analysis and development skills to determine appropriate tools (Python, Java, RAG) to deliver required automation.
* Follow the SDLC cycle and CGI processes to ensure development, quality and delivery standards are met.
* Provide stakeholders transparency on automation tasks and status.
* Explore and prototype AI solutions using tools such as Python, Java, RAG , LLM etc
* Support data preprocessing, cleaning, and analysis to feed models or evaluate feasibility.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, business analysts, developers) to define AI requirements and evaluate outcomes.
* Prepare documentation, reports, training material and presentations on AI findings and recommendations.
* Stay current on AI trends, tools, and best practices relevant to our industry.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Document processes under review for automation.
* Prepare and review requirements documentation for proposed automation.
* Implement POCs (proof of concept) and solutions based on automation requirements.
* Deliver solutions using the agile methodology.
Key Skills:
* Proficient in one or many programming/scripting languages (Java/Python)
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Qualifications:
* Working towards a Bachelor's Degree preferably in Computer Science/IT or related IT discipline or equivalent experience.
* Familiarity with AI/ML concepts such as supervised/unsupervised learning, NLP, or computer vision.
* Knowledge of Python and libraries like Pandas, TensorFlow, or PyTorch + Java.
* Ability to quickly understand the insurance industry and our related products.
* Should have excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
* Experience working with APIs, Java and web services.
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $18-32/hour. This role is an existing vacancy.
