Being a part of Infobip Engineering department means working on an in-house developed product and delivering solutions on a global level. If you are a student of higher or final year of studies in the field of IT, join our software engineering internship program that starts in July 2026 and get a chance to land your first job at Infobip.

What this role is all about:
As a Software Engineer Intern on the CDP team, you will have the opportunity to work on real projects that directly impact how we collect, unify, and activate customer data. You will work alongside experienced engineers on a system that processes billions of events daily.

What you'll be working on:

Developing:
* The People CDP Profiles Service, supporting automatic profile creation, schema/profile validation, and improvements to event ingestion pipelines used to populate and update customer profiles.
* Conversational CDP - Integrations & event flow modules: CDP integration modules, working on event-to-profile data flow, small enhancements in identity/profile enrichment logic, internal helper components, and basic monitoring around these integrations.
* Foundational and well-scoped CDP tasks, allowing senior engineers to stay focused on roadmap-critical and customer-facing work.

API Development
* Developing and extending REST/GraphQL APIs for accessing customer data
* Implementing new endpoints for segmentation and audience building

Segmentation & Audience Building
* Working on the query engine that enables creation of customer segments based on behavior and attributes
* Improving query performance over large datasets

Data Quality & Observability
* Building tools for data quality monitoring
* Implementing validation rules and alerting mechanisms
* Working on dashboards for system health tracking

What you'll learn
* How a data platform operates at the scale of millions of users
* Principles of distributed systems and event-driven architecture
* Working in an agile team with code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and production deployments
* How engineering decisions are made in a production environment

At our six-month software engineering internship program you will:
* Learn about different technology stacks based on your interest
* Work with Java/Kotlin, TypeScript, Apache Kafka, Spark, PostgreSQL/ClickHouse, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes with focus on Back-end.
* Contribute to your team services and directly impact the quality of our products
* Write well designed, testable and scalable code in accordance to clean code principles
* Use technologies you need to put your code to action such as Git, Maven and Jenkins
* Work in agile environment and learn about agile methodologies

What makes you a strong fit:
* You are currently studying software engineering (eg. computer science, mathematics)
* You are a graduate (MA) or final year undergraduate (BA) student
* You have valid student's rights from Studentski centar (can work on student contract

Nice to have qualifications:
* Have a GitHub profile with projects to show
* Participated in student projects, Hackatons, workshops or other
* Already participated in some internship programs
* Are fluent in English, speak at a conversational level
* Are able to work full time after completing the internship

Internship timeline:
* Application deadline (mid of May)
* Imocha online testing (By the end of May)
* Interviews and selection process feedback (June)
* Start of internship program (July 6th)
* Orientation week in Zagreb Infobip campus (July 6th - 17th) - Don't worry, we will cover accommodation for you!
* Working with the mentor and within a team (July - January) - Osijek office
* End of the Internship program (January)
