Your impact

Jacobs is seeking an Architectural Summer Intern to join our Cities & Places team in Texas working on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients' challenges locally and worldwide. You'll impact the world around you helping us solve real-life challenges. We'll rely on you to provide support to our teams on critical projects while fostering a culture of continuous learning and inclusion as you bring fresh ideas to the table.

Each day, you will be an important team member as you assist with projects for our clients.

In this position you will work with a multidisciplinary team taking on a variety of tasks that blend your theoretical knowledge with practical application. Under the guidance of professional engineers, architects and other senior technical staff you will receive expert mentorship opportunities to ensure you thrive in your career support for architectural projects. Utilizing software such as Enscape, Lumion, 3D Studi Max or relevant software, you will analyze data to support project delivery.

Potential Role Responsibilities

* Assist with site visits and surveys
* Contribute to conceptual design and management
* Participate in schematic design and design development

Your responsibilities will also include; Preparing and developing drawings, models, images, and other documents within a BIM focused environment, producing architectural designs and/or work with other designers to develop designs using relevant architectural software including Revit, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite (Grasshopper, MicroStation and / or AutoCAD are a bonus), project and team administration duties, Producing project related correspondence and reports, Working directly with architectural colleagues and other specialists

Here's what you'll need

Job Qualification

* In pursuit of a Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture from an NAAB accredited program
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Sketchup, Enscape or other 3D visualization tools
* A portfolio of applicable recent work

Ideally you will also have

* Knowledge of LEED/Sustainability requirements
* Willingness to travel occasionally for project site visits or client meetings
* Authorization to work in the country of employment without sponsorship

The base salary range for this position is $42,000.00 to $62,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
