Job Purpose:
Join Sony Music Publishing and the Film and TV group as an Intern. Learn from the largest music publisher in the world by driving the accuracy and effectiveness of business practices in the department.

What You'll Do:
* Enter film, tv, promo, trailer and videogame sync quotes into the SMP licensing database
* Assist with the preparation of sync licenses
* Research song ownership, restrictions and sync licensing history
* Assist with DISCO maintenance including updating playlists, metadata and assets
* Update Mailchimp list by ingesting data from the internal database
* Research upcoming releases for FILM, TV, and VIDEO GAMES
* Collaborate with the Film and TV team as needed

Who You Are:
* Currently enrolled in a college or university
* Ideal candidate will have work experience in the music/entertainment industry OR is enrolled in a music-industry related program
* Passionate about the music and entertainment business, and have a desire to build a career in the industry
* Able to adapt quickly to a changing environment with minimal disruption
* An excellent communicator and enthusiastic collaborator who works well with team members, external partners, and senior management
* You are hungry to learn and grow. You are curious, ask questions and get excited about new projects
* A highly organized person that pays close attention to the details
* Must be authorized to work in the United States
* 7.5-hour business workday

DISCLAIMER:
The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $18. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
