Job Title: CA Industrial Trainee - Indirect Taxation

Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated CA Industrial Trainee to join our Finance team in Mumbai. The role will primarily focus on Indirect and International Taxation, providing hands-on exposure to GST compliance, cross-border taxation matters, and corporate finance processes. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical industry experience in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Indirect Tax Compliance
o Assist in preparation and review of GST returns and reconciliations
o Support compliance related to GST, Sales Tax, and VAT
o Track changes in indirect tax regulations and assess their impact
* International Taxation
o Support cross-border transactions and related tax implications
o Assist in documentation and compliance for international tax matters
o Work on basic transfer pricing and cross-border taxation concepts
* Tax Reporting & Documentation
o Maintain tax records, working papers, and supporting documentation
o Assist in responding to tax notices and queries from authorities
* Audit & Assessments
o Provide support during internal, statutory, and tax audits
o Assist in tax assessments and litigation matters, if any
* Business Support
o Liaise with internal stakeholders for tax data collection
o Support finance team in tax planning and optimization initiatives
Eligibility Criteria
* Currently pursuing Chartered Accountancy (CA)
* Eligible for Industrial Training as per ICAI guidelines
* Completed Articleship with exposure to Indirect Tax / International Taxation
Skills & Competencies
* Strong foundational knowledge of GST, Sales Tax, and VAT
* Basic understanding of Customs and cross-border taxation (preferred)
* Good analytical and problem-solving skills
* Proficiency in MS Excel
* Strong attention to detail and ability to handle deadlines
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
