Clear, effective communication plays a key role in helping employees stay informed, aligned, and engaged. As part of our Internal Communications team, you will support initiatives that bring organizational priorities to life across multiple channels, programs, and campaigns.
As a Communications Specialist Intern, you will contribute to the development, channel management, and execution of cross-org communications, working with various disciplines to support messaging, campaigns, and engagement initiatives. This opportunity will allow you to build foundational communications skills, gain hands-on cross-functional experience, and develop an understanding of how strategic messaging supports business goals.

Responsibilities
* You will execute tactics to support the overall communications strategy. This will involve creating a consistent voice across channels ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment across channels and audiences.
* You will coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders and external agencies to produce communications materials and tactics, and ensure timely delivery of deliverables.
* You will use data and insights to support storytelling opportunities, and recommend and develop collateral materials for specific initiatives, campaigns and events.
* You will leverage your understanding and relationships with stakeholders to execute tasks and manage organization priorities. You'll also help identify opportunities to enhance both employee and public perception of Microsoft.
* You will help monitor and manage content for communications channels and gather insights to identify opportunities to improve key performance indicators (KPIs) and strategy gaps, as well as messaging effectiveness and reach.
* You will contribute to social media and video-based storytelling efforts by supporting copywriting, editing, and brainstorming content ideas for internal and external digital platforms.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
*
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or a related field.
* Must have at least 3 full semesters of school remaining - graduation date Summer 2027 or after.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 2+ years Communications, Social Media, Marketing Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience
*
* OR equivalent experience
* 1+ year(s) experience supporting senior executives in an executive communications role
*
* 1+ year(s) experience creating high-impact social media content
**This student position is structured as a one-and-a-half-year role, concluding upon completion of the academic degree.
This position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
