Job Summary - Lean Six Sigma Trainee

The Lean Six Sigma Trainee provides operational and analytical support to continuous improvement initiatives while developing hands-on experience in a professional manufacturing or services environment. The role focuses on supporting process optimization projects, data analysis, standardization, and documentation aligned with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and results-driven performance.

Education & Experience

* Currently pursuing or recently graduated from Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
* Demonstrated interest in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement.
* Academic knowledge or participation in school projects related to process optimization, quality, or productivity is preferred but not required.
* No prior work experience required.

Responsibilities

* Support Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement projects, including the identification of waste, process analysis, and improvement proposals.
* Collect, organize, and analyze operational data (KPIs, cycle times, productivity, quality).
* Prepare and update process documentation, metrics, reports, and results presentations.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
* Assist with activities related to Lean Manufacturing tools (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, PDCA, standardization).
* Clearly and effectively communicate progress, findings, and results to different organizational levels.
* Actively participate in training activities and continuous learning in improvement methodologies.

Skills / Abilities (High Level)

* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Results-oriented mindset, with initiative and continuous improvement focus.
* Basic to intermediate knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and Six Sigma principles.
* Analytical skills and structured problem-solving capability.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Basic proficiency in digital tools (Excel, PowerPoint, or spreadsheets).
* Ability to work collaboratively, learn quickly, and follow established methodologies and standards.
