At Roche you can show up as yourself, embraced for the unique qualities you bring. Our culture encourages personal expression, open dialogue, and genuine connections, where you are valued, accepted and respected for who you are, allowing you to thrive both personally and professionally. This is how we aim to prevent, stop and cure diseases and ensure everyone has access to healthcare today and for generations to come. Join Roche, where every voice matters.
The Position
Our Global Internship Programme in Innovation & Sustainability (#IP2TIS) offers a unique opportunity for passionate individuals to gain hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry while making a positive impact on the world.
Are you ready to join a global network spanning 20+ countries, where bright minds collaborate to tackle real-world challenges in Innovation & Sustainability? Do you want to work on impactful projects, shape the future, and drive change from within?
As an intern, you will contribute to Mission Eco-Possible, an active initiative designed to align CAC DIA operations with Roche's global sustainability strategy and support a 25% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. The project focuses on turning the affiliate's emissions baseline into a practical roadmap for action, with particular attention to Scope 1 and Scope 3 emissions in the Central America and Caribbean context. Within your first 3 months, you are expected to help design and implement an internal environmental sustainability campaign, support the definition of a feasible action plan and investment needs for emissions reduction, and develop an emissions reporting tool aligned with Roche Group guidelines. Your work will help translate global sustainability commitments into local action, strengthen reporting transparency, and mobilize the organization around a shared environmental mission. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to combine sustainability strategy, analytics, and culture change in a high-impact regional setting.
The Opportunity
* Design and implement an internal cultural campaign focused on environmental sustainability and the 2030 Eco-Mission
* Support the definition of a feasible action plan to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 3 emissions in the CAC regional context
* Assess investment needs and support feasibility analysis for proposed sustainability initiatives
* Develop an emissions reporting tool for the affiliate aligned with Roche Group guidelines
* Analyze current emissions drivers, including fleet operations, refrigerants, business travel, and e-waste
* Translate sustainability data into clear dashboards, reports, and visual materials for internal use
* Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support implementation and engagement across the organization
* Help connect local actions to Roche's broader net-zero and SBTi-aligned commitments
Who You Are
You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program at a university, preferably in the field of Environmental Engineering or related and are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship of at least 3 months.
Furthermore you are
* Proficient in advanced Excel, Power BI, or Tableau and able to create strong reporting and visualization tools
* Knowledgeable in ESG principles and greenhouse gas accounting frameworks such as the GHG Protocol
* Able to conduct technical and financial feasibility analyses for sustainability projects and investment decisions
* A strong communicator who can turn complex data into compelling stories and work effectively with different stakeholders
* Fluent in Spanish and English, proactive, adaptable, and comfortable driving initiatives in a dynamic regional environment
If you meet most but not all qualifications, we still encourage you to apply.
Additional information
The internship is expected to start between 1 and 16 July 2026 and will last at least 3 months.
