The team
ING's Wholesale Bank (WB) helps companies, institutions and governments to gain access to capital in support of their success and further growth. We provide M&A advice, capital structuring advice, help companies hedge their FX, interest and commodity risk, support daily payment requirements and finance a variety of assets throughout the different sectors. The Network Sector Coverage (NSC) team is part of ING Wholesale Banking. The team is based in Amsterdam and operates as the first point of contact for Dutch companies when there is also a global relationship with corporate headquarters. The NSC bankers are responsible for developing strategic relationships with these subsidiaries. They position ING well for future opportunities and proactively support new strategic NSC business origination, all within the parameters of the WB segmentation strategy. The team also coordinates between various products, so that the clients' needs are met.

You will be part of a professional, experienced and enthusiastic team with an open atmosphere. Working in the team will give you an excellent opportunity to become acquainted with many aspects of banking business. Your internship. The companies we cover are related to various sectors ranging from retail to industrial companies. As a NonFinancial Risk intern you will be a member of NFR support team of the sector, supporting daily operations on KYC. You will be helping the bank to remain compliant and assisting corporate clients to offboard their products. You work most closely together with members of different teams in Amsterdam as well as with ING colleagues all over the world. However, as we have offices in Frankfurt, London, Singapore and Brussels you will come across a variety of colleagues.
Roles and responsibilities
As an Intern your job will be diverse, but your main tasks consist of:
* Support front office / client outreach team to manage day to day KYC activities
* Maintaining data reporting on offboarding and taking necessary action where needed
* Maintaining contact with various internal and external stakeholders
* Be willing to participate in cross-sector projects supporting KYC pillars

You are:

* Enrolled in a (HBO or University) Bachelor's degree
* A reliable team player who is highly motivated and eager to learn
* Able to operate in a fast-paced work environment while still maintaining structure
* A proactive approach, especially in a (part) working from home environment
* Available from January 2026 for 6 months
During the duration of your internship at ING, it is mandatory to be enrolled at a Dutch university (or EU-university for EU passport holders).
