Introduction
The Optical Column Industrialization group at ASML supports the performance of YieldStar, a leading optical metrology tool used to measure overlay in semiconductor manufacturing. These measurements help customers improve production yield. To enhance clarity and efficiency in factory and field operations, the team is working to better visualize and optimize process steps. As an intern, you will help develop tools that make these processes more transparent and actionable.
Your assignment
This internship offers the opportunity to work on industrialization challenges by transforming complex data into clear, user-friendly insights. You will collaborate with engineers and architects to improve process visibility and support design feedback loops.
Your main responsibilities will be:
* Create dashboards to visualize process step durations.
* Convert raw data into clear overviews for end users.
* Identify key areas for process improvement.
* Introduce feedback loops from analysis into design processes.
* Recommend enhancements based on data insights.
* Present findings to stakeholders.
* Document your progress and outcomes clearly.
This is a bachelor/master internship for minimum 6 months, 3-5 days per week (2-3 days on-site). The start date of this internship is February 2026.
Your profile
To be suitable for the internship, you:
* Are enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree in business engineering, software engineering, or a related engineering field.
* Preferably are familiar with SQL syntax and database connectivity concepts.
* Have experience with MATLAB, Julia, and/or Python.
* Work independently after onboarding and are solution-oriented.
* Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
