Engineering Systems' (ES) mission is to elevate Snowflake developers' ability to build and release software to our customers in a fast, frictionless and high-quality way through cutting-edge tools, processes, and AI. ES org has several teams that are responsible for the overall workflow from "Code to Customer" across Snowflake.

WHAT WE EXPECT:
* Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college/university program during the time of the internship
* Desired majors: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Math, or related field
* Required coursework (at least 1-2): algorithms, data structures, and operating systems, programming, software testing
* Recommended coursework: cloud computing, database systems, or distributed systems
* Excellent programming skills in Javascript/Typescript, Java, or Python
* Knowledge of data structures and algorithms
* Strong problem solving and ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment
* Experience with working as a part of a team
* Dedication and passion for technology
* Interested in quality, developer experience & productivity or platform engineering
* Duration: 3 months minimum (opportunity for 6 months as well)
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN/GAIN:
* How to build enterprise-grade, reliable, and trustworthy software/services
* Develop new 3rd party integrations that contribute to expanding the functionality of the Snowflake application and deliver an awesome, consistent user experience.
* Collaborate with product management, and other software engineers to deliver new customer-facing features.
* Experience working with cloud infrastructure, AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud in particular.
