Position Summary

As a Fire Protection intern on our Fire Protection Engineering team you will work alongside a staff of experienced and licensed Fire Protection Engineers to develop and use your skills and experience to deliver and complete challenging and engaging buildings projects applying knowledge of fire protection engineering and life safety systems design, construction detailing, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials for clients according to their desires, needs, and financial resources. Project scope may include military billeting, vehicle maintenance, aviation facilities, headquarters & administrative buildings, medical, research, and mission critical facilities

The Fire Protection Intern will be working on the design and production of fire sprinkler systems, special hazards suppression systems, fire pumps, fire alarm and mass notification, and building/life safety codes analysis under the guidance of a knowledgeable team of experienced Fire Protection Engineers. Previous design experience is a plus, but we do train employees on the job to learn and develop these skills so please do not self-select yourself out of a position and all that are interested in a career in fire protection engineering are encouraged to apply.

This position will report to the Fire Protection Group Leader in Seoul

Here's what you'll need

* Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Safety Technology or other relevant degree
* Good interpersonal skills
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Bilingual (Korean and English)

Ideally, you'll also have

* Fire Protection or Building Code/Life Safety experience
* Experience with Revit and Autocad
* Prior work or internship experience in fire protection or engineering design
* Familiarity with NFPA codes and standards
* Willingness to travel
