Backend Engineer Intern, Marketplace Promotion (Summer 2026)

Description du poste:

* Design, develop and maintain backend services
* Collaborate with the product team and provide technical inputs to support product decision making
* Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to the end solution
* Execute and implement technical designs
* Troubleshoot and fix issues that affect the functionality, performance, stability, or reliability of backend systems.
* Build tools to help monitor, test, and improve team efficiency

Profil requis du candidat:

* Majoring in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
* Familiar with at least one backend programming language such as Java, Python, Golang or C++
* Familiar with computer science fundamentals (data structures and algorithms, operating systems, networks, databases, etc)
* Strong in logical thinking and problem solving skills, actively seeking challenges
* Strong ownership, good communication skills, having teamwork spirit and capable of working independently
* Passionate about coding and programming, innovation, and solving challenging problems

What You Will Learn
* Hands-on experience building and optimizing tools to support Shopee Promotion systems
* Best practices in software engineering, including code quality, system design, debugging, and performance optimization.
* Practical experience applying AI techniques to improve products and efficiency.

We are looking for a motivated Backend Engineering Intern to join our Marketplace Promotion team in Singapore. The Marketplace Promotion Engineering team works on features and systems that support Shopee's unique promotion mechanisms and strategies. This includes features such as Vouchers, Flash Sales, Bundle Deals and more. These promotion mechanisms are critical components of our Shopee Marketplace that provide discounts to our buyers, drive traffic to our platforms and boost orders for our sellers
