Each year, Volvo Cars welcome students as Summer workers to our sites in Sweden. Spending a few weeks wth us is a great way for you to get an insight to what life at Volvo Cars can be like and gives you a basic understanding of our operations. It also provides you with a strong network in our organization, which can be of value in your future career. The number of Summer work positions and work areas vary from year to year.

Welcome to explore the world of Volvo Cars through a summer job at Aerodynamics! As a summer worker in our organization, you are supported by a supervisor who will mentor you throughout this period. All summer projects are arranged in business-critical areas and therefore you will be able to contribute to our company purpose - providing freedom to move in a safe, sustainable, and personal way - from day one!

What you'll do

* Support and help out with wind tunnel testing assignments
* 3D modelling work
* CFD simulations
* Support in new car development projects
* Participation in group activities

What you'll bring

* MSc student in Applied Physics, Mechanics, Engineering, or a related field (you are in the third or fourth year of your studies)
* Orientated towards fluid mechanics and/or vehicle aerodynamics
* Experience working with CFD or other simulation tools (desirable)
* Proficient programming skills (advantageous)
* Experience with physical testing (advantageous)
* Collaborative mindset and effective communication skills
* Fluency in English, both spoken and written

Duration

* Mandatory vacation period: 20th of July - 9th of Aug

* Duration: 9-10 weeks
