As a V.I.E at Proionic (Grambach, near Graz, Austria), you will join a global leader in Ionic Liquids, advancing sustainable innovation. Within the R&D team, you will support new business development and create synergies with Arkema's high-performance polymers. This role offers a unique international experience to strengthen your technical skills, discover a new culture, and contribute to next-generation sustainable solutions. Context & Challenges: As part of Proionic's growth in sustainable technologies, this mission aims to explore and accelerate the development of innovative applications of Ionic Liquids while strengthening synergies with Arkema's high-performance polymers portfolio. Operating in an international and innovation-driven environment, the challenge is to bridge advanced chemistries with market needs, contributing to more sustainable industrial solutions. Objectives: Contribute to the development of high-value, sustainable applications, identify new business opportunities, and support cross-functional R&D and business initiatives. Foster collaboration between teams to unlock synergies between Ionic Liquids and polymer technologies, creating differentiation and added value. Activities: Integrated into the R&D team in Grambach (Austria), you will investigate new application fields (e.g. antistatic performance, solvent-based processes, recycling and circular economy approaches). You will design and perform laboratory experiments, analyze and interpret results, and recommend development pathways. In close collaboration with international teams, you will contribute to technical exchanges, support innovation projects, help translate research into business opportunities and participate to business development initiatives. This assignment offers a comprehensive learning experience combining technical expertise, sustainability-driven innovation, and international exposure in a dynamic industrial context

Requisiti del candidato:

* Master's degree or PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field * B2 level in English and German is required * Early-career position; initial experience in laboratory work or technical project management is a plus * Strong technical background in chemistry and materials science (synthesis, applications, analytics) * Solid scientific mindset with the ability to analyze data, interpret results, and propose pragmatic solutions * Ability to manage and contribute to technical projects in a structured and proactive manner * Interest in innovation, sustainability, and the development of new applications * Good communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively in an international R&D environment * Collaborative mindset with strong motivation to work across functions (R&D, Marketing, Business) * Customer-oriented, entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to understand technical customer needs, identify new application opportunities, and contribute to business development initiatives * Learning agility, curiosity, and a hands-on approach
