CONTEXT:
Step into the world of Raw Material Sourcing Excellence at L'Oréal, the world's leading beauty company. This apprenticeship offers a high-impact, global and transversal experience at the crossroads of supplier compliance, risk management, process engineering, and data-driven decision-making.
You will join the Global Raw Material Sourcing Excellence team, a strategic function responsible for monitoring supplier performance, managing compliance frameworks, and driving continuous improvement across sourcing processes worldwide. Working in a highly international environment, you will interact daily with sourcing teams, cross-functional experts, zone relays, and strategic suppliers spread across all global regions.
This role is designed for technically minded profiles who are eager to tackle complex, multi-stakeholder challenges and build robust, scalable solutions in a fast-moving global organization.
MAIN MISSIONS:
As a Junior Sourcing Excellence Engineer Apprentice, you will play an active role in the management and optimization of global sourcing compliance and risk processes. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing Supplier Compliance & Social Audit Programs:
* Organize, manage, and follow up supplier social audits across multiple global zones;
* Structure and maintain audit tracking systems to ensure timely execution and corrective action follow-up;
* Contribute to internal control mock audits to assess process robustness and readiness;
* Ensure data reliability and consistency across compliance monitoring tools.
Coordinating Supplier Performance & Risk Assessment Campaigns:
* Lead and coordinate supplier performance evaluation campaigns at worldwide level, involving multiple zones and divisions;
* Manage supplier risk assessment campaigns end-to-end: scoping, execution, follow-up, and escalation;
* Support the design and implementation of risk mitigation action plans in collaboration with sourcing and category managers;
* Synthesize and report campaign outcomes to senior stakeholders through structured dashboards and presentations.
Driving Data-Driven Process Excellence:
* Develop and maintain monitoring tools using Power BI and Power Apps to track KPIs across sourcing excellence activities;
* Automate reporting workflows and build scalable data pipelines to improve operational efficiency;
* Contribute to the structuration and continuous improvement of sourcing excellence processes, with a process-engineering mindset;
* Support upstream supply chain traceability initiatives, contributing to data mapping and system alignment efforts.
Animating a Global Network of Stakeholders:
* Coordinate with zone relays, category managers, and procurement experts across all global regions;
* Structure and maintain project plans, meeting rhythms, and communication flows across a complex multi-stakeholder environment;
* Document best practices and contribute to the knowledge base of the Sourcing Excellence community.
PROFILE REQUIRED:
We are looking for a rigorous, technically skilled, and autonomous engineering student, passionate about data, process excellence, and global supply chain challenges. Skills and qualities expected:
* Student in an engineering school with a specialization in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Data, or equivalent;
* Strong analytical mindset and comfort with data management tools (Power BI, Power Apps, Excel advanced);
* Ability to design and manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects at global scale - structure, anticipate, and deliver;
* Process-oriented thinking: ability to map, challenge, and improve operational processes;
* Rigor, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills;
* Proactive, autonomous, and capable of escalating risks and issues appropriately;
* Excellent communication skills - ability to synthesize complex information for senior audiences;
* Fluent in English (working language of the team).
Nice to have:
* Prior exposure to compliance, risk management, or sourcing processes;
* Knowledge of audit frameworks or supplier assessment methodologies;
* Experience with data automation or low-code tools.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS:
A 30-minute interview with a recruiter will allow you to present your profile and explore the opportunities that match your background.
