Application Technologist (Sweet & Beverage), Indonesia (12-Month Contract)

The Sweet & Beverage Application Technologist is responsible for supporting the development and application of beverage products, with a primary focus on non-alcoholic beverages and powdered soft drinks. You will involve sample preparation, compounding, experimental trials, beverage application and creation of flavor profiles and concentrates for internal evaluations and customer presentations.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with cross functional teams, support customer-driven innovation projects and broaden technical expertise across beverage, baked goods and dairy applications. You will also support key project documentation and ensure all work is carried out in compliance with laboratory safety standards, GLP, HACCP and relevant standard operating procedures.

The Position:

* Responsible for the development of beverage applications with a priority focus on non-alcoholic beverage category and powdered soft drinks to deliver winning solutions in accordance with specified requirements
* Assist and support product development for other categories such as baked goods and dairy, where required.
* Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure timely and high-quality project execution and deliverables.
* Accompany the Sales team on customer visits, where required, to provide technical support and address customer queries.
* Perform administrative duties to support various key projects
* Maintain a safe working environment and comply with standard operating procedures including Good Laboratory Practice and Hazard Analysis and Critical Point requirements.

The Ideal Candidate:

* Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology or related discipline
* Strong interest in beverage and flavor application with good understanding of flavor blends, flavor profiles and food & beverage product development processes
* Meticulous and hands-on, with the ability to follow recipes, formulations, protocols and technical instructions with accuracy
* Proactive, curious and eager to learn, with strong organisational and time management skills
* Strong communication skills with the ability work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
* Comfortable working in a laboratory environment and familiar with basic laboratory equipment and practices.
* Prior internship experience in flavor house, flavor distributor or laboratory-based role will be advantageous
