The project: Are you looking for a career which is rewarding, at the cutting edge of project development and where you can really make a difference? Come and join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK's climate change agenda and energy policy. Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and government financing support. The project has started construction and is now seeking private investment. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.
The Quality Management Lead ensures Sizewell C quality compliance across the full project lifecycle, acting as the supply-chain quality lead and intelligent customer. They drive right-first-time delivery through effective quality planning, assurance, surveillance, issue resolution and collaboration across programmes, suppliers and project teams.
Note: This role will be based in our Suffolk, London or Bristol office with hybrid working available.
You'll be responsible for:
* Developing and implementing project QA/QC frameworks.
* Reviewing, accepting and governing contractor quality plans.
* Managing supplier assessment, audit and performance improvement.
* Planning and delivering proportionate manufacturing/site surveillance.
* Owning inspection and test plans.
* Managing non-conformances and corrective actions effectively.
* Controlling LTQRs and quality release certification.
* Collaborating teams to assure right-first-time delivery.
You'll need to have:
* Proven experience in major project delivery, with strong quality leadership in complex, regulated or safety-critical environments.
* Deep understanding of QA/QC best practice, ISO-aligned quality systems and supply-chain assurance.
* Confident influencer, analytical communicator and collaborative stakeholder manager.
* Relevant engineering or science qualification, with auditing and quality improvement experience.
