What you'll do
You will utilize strong manufacturing engineering mindset and previous experience to take ownership for establishing, ramp-up and managing production in the Body Shop in Volvo Car Košice plant. You will be responsible for recruiting talents, and developing team competence that will live up to our Lean fundamentals in their everyday tasks and closely collaborate with the plant environment and global manufacturing network.
In doing so, you will:
* Ensure on-time delivery of products and services by achieving Safety, Quality, Volume, Cost, and Environmental targets, leading teams, optimizing resources, and ensuring production efficiency;
* Manage a group or team of operational contributors in multi-shift operations, organize their daily workflow, ensure accountability and continuous improvement, recognize achievements, and handle people issues;
* Oversee all aspects of people planning and management, including short and long-term resource planning, holiday scheduling, sickness management, and individual performance management;
* Communicate job expectations clearly, provide necessary instructions and feedback to team members;
* Plan production, standardize the production process, run reports;
* Oversee operator instructions, critical parameters, checklists, and training materials for all operations, update special equipment service manuals, including BOMs, drawings, wiring schematics, recommended processes, technical expertise, and tooling for optimization of production runs;
* Drive process improvements, cost reduction activities, and continuous improvement activities, implement company initiatives;
* Provide training plans, coach and execute trainings for Supervisors and teams;
* Work proactively across the value stream with a cross-functional team in order to understand the impact of your area on the overall flow, focusing on reducing bottlenecks, minimizing losses in order to maintain a high level of stability, flow, and cost control;
* Drive corrective or improvement actions by ensuring the required competencies are made available within your team;
* Be a role model for Volvo Cars values, encourage speak up culture, so your team can freely highlight problems, deviations, opportunities to improve through potential solutions.
What you'll bring
* Several years of previous working experience leading a highly automated production department OEM/Tier1, in multi-shift pattern, preferably Bodyshop or similar;
* Exceptional understanding of the manufacturing processes in Bodyshop, 5S, Standard Work, Andon, and real-time production management;
* Preferred university education in Industrial, Mechanical/Mechatronic, Manufacturing, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or related field;
* Ability to professionally communicate, verbally and in written form, in both English and Slovak language;
* Flexibility, being able not only to work under an organization in a transformation period, or green-field project, but thrive in such a fast-paced environment;
* Demonstrated ability to work within a multinational team, influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
* Problem-solving and a continuous improvement mindset;
* Process observation and confirmation, Performance Management (maximizing engagement, motivation, and productivity), Influencing skills (communications & rhetoric);

Compensation Data
Monthly gross salary for this position starts from 3.900 EUR.
* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
