SD process expert (m/f/d)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Expert (m/f/d) for SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) Process Design and Compliance within the Supply Chain function of our Consumer Health division.
In this key role, you will act as the global subject matter expert, driving the continuous improvement and optimization of SAP SD system processes. You will be responsible for actively contributing to Supply Chain Design decisions, overseeing the governance of authorization concepts and access management, and ensuring that change management processes are effectively implemented within the SAP system landscape.
Working in close collaboration with IT, you will take ownership of creating, configuring, and maintaining SAP system objects, ensuring full alignment with system architecture principles and SAP standards.
You will also lead the global key user and expert community, providing technical training and coaching to build sustainable system expertise and ensure strict adherence to established configuration and compliance standards. Your depth of knowledge will be instrumental in driving system integrity, operational efficiency, and the continuous enhancement of SAP SD processes across the global Supply Chain.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* You will act as the system authority within Supply Chain Design Panel sessions, providing definitive SD/O2C/OM expertise across end-to-end flows and integrated system touchpoints (planning, logistics, finance)
* You will act as the global system process expert for SAP SD across order capture, pricing, credit, delivery, shipment, invoicing, returns/claims, and intercompany flows
* You will define and enforce system process standards, configuration guardrails, and design principles; steward and maintain the global SAP SD template
* You will analyze and document current and target system processes, identify configuration gaps, root causes, and optimization opportunities leveraging native SAP tools and capabilities
* You will translate system requirements into functional designs and collaborate with IT for solutioning, testing, and deployment
* You will lead and approve functional specifications, test scripts, and results for system enhancements, and manage integration and UAT cycles
* You will oversee the creation and maintenance of SAP SD system objects, ensuring fit-to-standard approaches with thorough technical documentation
* You will manage SAP authorization concepts for SD, including role design, Segregation of Duties (SoD), periodic access reviews, and audit readiness
* You will collaborate with Corporate Compliance, IT Security, and Risk Management to ensure full alignment with system policies, controls, and compliance frameworks
YOUR PROFILE
* You hold a Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field - or possess equivalent professional experience
* You bring several years of hands-on experience with SAP SD/ECC or S/4HANA Sales, including process design and customizing
* You demonstrate a proven track record in facilitating cross-functional design councils or change boards
* You possess strong expertise in SAP SD master data, pricing, credit, delivery, shipping, billing, returns, intercompany flows, as well as integration with MM, LE, and FI/CO
* You have extensive experience in authorization concept design, role design, and access management (SoD, periodic reviews)
* You manage system changes confidently - from requirements and functional specifications to testing (UAT), transport coordination, and documentation
* You have experience in training and coaching key users and end users
* You think analytically, solve problems in a structured way, and design processes effectively
* You are fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage
This role can be located in Basel, Switzerland or at any other major Bayer site globally.
