When you join TI, you will participate in the Career Accelerator Program (CAP), which provides professional and technical training and resources to accelerate your ramp into TI and set you up for long-term career success. Within this program, we also offer function-specific technical training and on-the-job learning opportunities that will encourage you to solve problems through a variety of hands-on, meaningful experiences from your very first day on the job.
TI's FAST (Field Applications & Sales Training) Program is designed to prepare Sales & Applications team members for customer-oriented careers that pair technical skills with business perspectives. The program provides experiences that help rising TIers understand how to successfully grow TI's business and to thrive throughout their entire TI career. There are two available FAST program tracks: (1) Field Applications and (2) Technical Sales.
Field Applications Engineer track
As a Field Applications Engineer you will:
* Act as a technical consultant to solve design challenges with the TI portfolio to become a trusted advisor for your customers
* Understand the basics of analog circuitry
* op-amps
* DC/DC power
* data converters
* sensing
* Build up specific knowledge in your customers applications and relevant TI portfolio to make system level proposals to maximize TIs revenue
* Create and understand block diagrams based on your customers applications (examples can be found here: EV charging, Heat Pump, Head-Up Display
* Build up relationships to your customers, with focus on the engineering departments at your customers
* Leverage market knowledge and data insights to discover business and independently develop creative ways to discover new opportunities.
Your start as a Field Application Engineer (FAE) will be through our FAST development program:
The 12-month FAST Development Program prepares future Field Applications Engineers (FAEs) for their role as technical experts in the Texas Instruments product portfolio. The goal of the program is to provide hands-on experience in the role of an FAE while providing training and mentoring programs. During the program, you will have access to various departments and gain insight into long-term development opportunities at TI. The trainee program includes four rotations*:
Rotation 1: Stay in a local sales office (Field Sales Office (FSO)), 5 months:
The FSO rotation is all about learning how to interact with customers and how to solve technical challenges at the customer site. The focus here is on providing technical advice to the customer at system level in order to implement the customer's projects in the best possible way. In addition to other core components, this rotation focuses on analyzing technical alternatives and learning how to select the right technical components while taking design and cost challenges into account. This rotation will preferably take place in your future sales office.
Rotation 2: Stay in the mass market team, 3 months:
The rotation in the Mass-Market Team teaches you how to use data-driven solutions and automation in a targeted manner to optimize sales. You will learn how to use TI's resources efficiently and how to scale measures successfully. Through practical exercises, you will develop hybrid sales techniques and improve digital customer relationships. You will learn to set priorities and act quickly - because "done is better than perfect". You will also develop your decision-making skills in uncertain situations and learn how to make the best possible use of personal customer contacts. Finally, you will strengthen your independence and gain confidence in direct communication with customers.
Rotation 3: Stay in the Systems Engineering & Marketing (SEM) team, 3 months:
The rotation in SEM allows the FAE-to-be hands-on experience to understand the compatibility of TI's product portfolio and learn how our customers can get system-level solutions for their product designs. The rotation will focus on product & PCB layouts, an insight into the production process at Texas Instruments as well as circuit development and testing & validation of designs, among other core areas. This rotation usually takes place at our EMEA headquarters in Freising, Germany.
Rotation 4: Headquarters Experience, 3 weeks - Dallas (USA):
The rotation in Dallas brings you closer to TI and our headquarters. The focus here is on building a multi-level network with key stakeholders in support functions, the Business Unit (BU) and Systems Engineering. Experience the impressive Dallas campus and learn how to utilize all TI resources.

Requisiti del candidato:
Minimum requirements:
* Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology or related field
* Fluent in German and English, both written and oral communication skills
* Understand of schematics, layouts and digital components, knowledge of analog circuitry (examples include: op-amps, DC/DC power, data converters, sensing, interface, etc.)
* Understand embedded processing, devices and features, master basic programming skills in C/C++, understand how embedded processing plays a role on a PCB in different ecosystems
* Enjoy picking up the phone and calling unknown contacts to discuss systems and designs and developing relationships
* Have willingness to fight when you get a "NO"
* Great communication and presentation skills, working with others and time management, ready to go overtime and travel when necessary (20% of time)
