Position Summary
The Materials Intern will support daily operations within the Materials department, contributing to the efficient flow of materials, process standardization, and operational performance. This role focuses on maintaining accurate documentation, supporting workforce capability tracking, and assisting with the implementation of metrics and continuous improvement initiatives. The intern will work closely with Materials, Operations, and cross-functional teams to ensure processes are well-documented, executed effectively, and aligned with business objectives. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

* Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across departments, particularly within Materials
* Planning and organizational skills, including the ability to manage documentation and ensure process execution on the shop floor
* Analytical mindset with the ability to identify improvement opportunities during process implementation
* Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to properly channel and share information
Required Qualifications
* Currently enrolled from the 6th semester onward
* Active student in Industrial Engineering or a related field
* Intermediate to advanced English proficiency
* Proactive, well-organized, and eager to learn
Position Overview
The Materials Intern will support the maintenance of the skills matrix and the creation and update of documentation within the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure process standardization. The role includes supporting the implementation and tracking of key performance metrics, as well as maintaining Polaris Production System (PPS) elements such as daily management, KPIs, and standard work.
The intern will also assist in identifying improvement opportunities within materials and warehouse processes, support process reviews, and help train personnel on updated procedures. Additionally, the role involves supporting departmental projects, including the optimization of material supply methods to improve efficiency and operational performance.
