Job Description

Job description:
* Testing development prototypes of electron microscopes and their components, including hands-on work with advanced prototype systems and supporting the validation of new technologies
* Measuring physical characteristics in the field of electron optics and vacuum systems, combined with operating electron microscopes and conducting experimental measurements
* Preparation of experimental setups, evaluation and presentation of measured data, including data processing and basic simulations
* Automation of experiments using scripting (e.g., Python, Julia, Matlab) and applying structured, algorithmic thinking to problem-solving
* Optimization of electron column (tube) settings and parameters
* Collaboration on research and development projects within an international high-tech environment

Requirements:
* University or PhD student in Physics, Physical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
* General technical overview, knowledge in applied physics and mathematics, and interest in both theoretical and practical aspects of electron optics and microscopy systems
* Knowledge of scripting/programming (Python, Julia, Matlab)
* Good command of English (spoken and written)
* Proactive and creative approach to problem-solving, attention to detail, and responsibility
* Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week for one year
